there was an accident on hwy 20 yesterday, about 8 miles out of town

it happened mid-morning. it had been snowing all morning, snowing like gangbusters. it had snowed all night the night before.

guests had been asking me all morning if the roads were okay to drive on. and I'd been telling people all morning that, "yeah, the roads are okay. just take it easy. don't steer hard. don't try to pass anyone. just take it nice and easy and you'll be fine."

i guess a tourist from utah steered too late into a curve and wound up oversteering. spun sideways and hit a pickup just about head on, on the driver side. there was one fatality. don't know if it was the person in the pickup or the car that died.
